Okay - the current date is June 27, 2010 and just got a 'special loyal customer' offer from DTV for a FREE receiver replacement - NO COMMITMENT extension required. I guess my 18 year old receiver (working well) will not support the 'new' advancements in on-screen programming, interactive access, and some other functionalities. Hope there is no lease fees required, or I will end my 18 loyality.
